I suddenly remember this conversation that I had with one of my friend in school..

She’s from Myanmar…

We were talking about Cyclone Nargis...

You know the one that had attack Myanmar and had destroyed loads of life…

Well, my friend was telling me one of the stories that she heard from her friend…

and I would like to share it here…

A mum, dad and a little kid….

Running…

Running like everyone else…

Holding each other tight…

Afraid…

The wind is blowing hard…

Stronger and stronger…

The three of them ran to the nearest tree…

The dad with the little kid holding onto one tree

The mum holding onto another tree nearby…

The Cyclone hit…

Hard…

The dad and the little kid struggle to hold onto the tree…

The cyclone is too strong…

The dad could feel that the kid is slowly slipping away from him…

The cyclone is too strong…

The dad can’t hold onto the kid any longer…

The dad let the little kid go…

Fly with the wind…

He’s left alone holding onto the tree….

The cyclone subside a little…

The mum looks at the dad…

Asking where is the little kid…

The dad looks at the direction where the little kid had disappeared into…

The mum looks in the same direction…

The cyclone gain speed again…

The dad holds on tight to the tree again…

The mum loosens her grip…

Letting the cyclone to take her…

Wherever they want to take her…

Perhaps she might ends up with the little kid…

Her little kid…

Ps: The story might be a little different from the one my friend told me… but main outline of the story is still the same…
